America West Airlines was opening its first transcontinental routes, from New York to Los Angeles, and wanted to announce this with a splash.
We secured New York’s very own Howard Stern to broadcast live endorsement commercials for America West’s new service to his New York audience. In addition, we overlaid a contest on the Howard Stern Network nationally, and Howard gave away trips for two on one of America West’s first flights from New York to Los Angeles to attend the red carpet premiere of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. |
